Privacy Policy

Klinch LLC

Effective Date: May 16, 2026

1. Who This Policy Applies To

Klinch is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. By creating an account, you confirm you are at least 18. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we become aware a user is under 18, we will delete their account and associated data promptly.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address, a hashed password (we never store or see your plain-text password), and your role type selected during onboarding (e.g., SDR, AE, CSM).

2.2 Interview and Application Data

When you use Klinch, we store interview records you create (company, role, stage, interviewer names), job applications you track, Dry Run practice session data, resume content you upload, and AI coach feedback generated from your sessions.

2.3 Audio and Transcripts

Klinch listens to your microphone only — we do not record or capture the other party on your call. Audio is processed in real time and is not stored. Transcripts of your spoken responses during Klinch Ear sessions are stored in your account and sync to our servers. You can delete an entire interview record (including its transcripts) at any time from within the app.

2.4 Community Question Library

When you use Klinch Ear, questions inferred from your session may be contributed anonymously to a shared question library used to help other candidates prepare. This process is automatic. The community question table contains no user IDs or identifying information — there is no technical way to link a contributed question back to you. Inferred questions are processed by AI to remove personally identifiable information before storage. By using Klinch, you agree to this contribution.

2.5 Usage Data

We may collect basic usage data such as session counts and feature interactions to improve the product.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and personalize the Klinch experience
  • Generate AI-powered coaching and resume feedback
  • Sync your data across devices via your account
  • Send transactional emails (account confirmation, trial expiry notices, and similar)
  • Improve the product through aggregated, anonymized usage patterns
  • Maintain the community question library

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in Supabase, hosted on AWS in the US East (Ohio) region. Auth session tokens are stored locally on your device. All data tables are protected by row-level security — you can only access your own data. When you delete your account, all associated data is permanently deleted from our systems via cascading deletion.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all your data is permanently deleted. Individual interview records, including transcripts, can be deleted at any time from within the app.

6. Third-Party Services

Klinch uses the following third-party services to operate:

Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We share only the minimum data necessary for each service to function.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the data we hold about you
  • Delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app
  • Request a copy of your data by contacting us at hello@tryklinch.com

If you are located in the European Economic Area or California, you may have additional rights under GDPR or CCPA. Contact us at hello@tryklinch.com to make a request.

8. One-Sided Recording and Consent

Klinch captures audio from your microphone only. We do not capture, record, or transmit audio from other participants on your call. By using Klinch Ear, you acknowledge and consent to the capture of your own voice for the purpose of real-time coaching and transcript generation.

You are solely responsible for ensuring your use of Klinch complies with applicable recording laws in your jurisdiction. Some jurisdictions require the consent of all parties to a conversation before recording. Klinch does not record other parties, but you should be aware of and comply with any applicable laws.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or via an in-app notice. Continued use of Klinch after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
